ABOUT
SOUTHVIEW EVANGELICAL CHURCH
We are a church family who believe that the message of the Bible is 'Good News' which is worth sharing with others. We meet on Sundays and at other times for Bible study and teaching, prayer, praise, fellowship, mutual encouragement and outreach to our community in evangelism and social concern. We recognize the two historic sacraments of the Christian faith, practicing weekly communion and believer's baptism.
During services we sing a number of hymns and songs of praise to God and listen to various presentations, usually including a talk lasting about half an hour on a biblical subject. A collection is often taken during the service, but contributiing is entirely voluntary. Creche, Sunday School and Bible class facilities are available. After the service everyone is invited to stay on and join us in the Beacon for a chat and refreshments.
We do not have minister / pastor at present but our church Leadership Team can be contacted via the church office. The team currently comprises: George Curry, Alistair Murray, Alistair Finnie, Charles Holt, Donald MacAllister, Chris Faldon and Stephen Proctor. If you phone the church or pop into the office or The Beacon coffee shop, your first contact will probably be with the Beacon Team or Stephen, the church's pastoral assistant, who would be delighted to answer any questions you might have about the church and it's activities.
